I've been backpacking for over 20 years, I started hammock camping in the early 2000s as an alternative to the hard ground and to lighten my load and adding a bit more flexibility to my loadout. I began working on DIY projects in 2015 to make my gear a bit more custom and things just kind of took off from there. My favorite hiking destinations are Red River Gorge and the Great Smokey Mountains.

I have about seven years of experience backpacking and hammocking. I would prefer to be swinging between the trees, but a tent is just fine, too. I love to take lots of pictures on my hikes as well as search for waterfalls along the trails. While most of my hikes have been shorter trips, my favorite place to backpack so far has been the Smokies.
